SWITCHING FROM DPP TO A TRADE LICENCE (IČO)
Did you have to switch, under the legislation in force from 1 January 2024, from working under a DPP agreement (agreement to perform work) to a trade licence (IČO)? In other words, to start doing business as a self-employed person (OSVČ)? If so, then several formalities come with it that you must not overlook. Specifically, when setting up your trade licence you must, among other things, state a place of business (also referred to as the registered office). If for any reason you cannot or do not wish to state your own address as your registered office (the address is searchable by anyone in the online register), renting an office is one option. Don't need one and don't want to pay for it needlessly? Then you can order a virtual office with us – that is, an address you state not only to the authorities. And there's no need to worry: it's a legal and commonly used service.
WHO IS A VIRTUAL OFFICE FOR?
- People renting their home, whose property owner won't allow them to state the address as their registered office
- People living in their own property, who would rather not mention their address anywhere
- People with permanent residence at a municipal office, as the office address cannot be stated as a place of business
- People without permanent residence in the Czech Republic, since the place of business must be a Czech address (among other things)
GET THE CHEAPEST VIRTUAL OFFICE
We have the lowest price for providing a virtual office for the self-employed on the market – the basic service costs just 89 CZK per month (excl. VAT). Specifically, it's the address Kurzova 2222/16 in Prague 5. Besides that address, we currently offer another 23 virtual offices across the Czech Republic with various additional services. It's entirely up to you which, if any, you'd like.

SETTING UP A TRADE LICENCE AND OTHER HANDY SERVICES
By the way, if you have a more complex situation and aren't sure which trade to choose or how to set it up, we'll be glad to help. Obtaining a trade licence at the trade office usually costs 1,000 CZK; we'll advise you and arrange everything for 2,000 CZK (excl. VAT), including that fee. Switching from DPP to a trade licence also comes with the obligation to file a tax return, pay social security and health insurance advances, and pay taxes. If you need advice on your accounting, we're here for you.
