What can you handle with the authorities easily online via a data box?
A data box is a universal key to the Czech state administration. Thanks to it you can send documents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
THE MOST IMPORTANT MATTERS FOR ENTREPRENEURS
- Taxes and finances – in full: Not only filing income tax, VAT or road tax returns, but also requests for an instalment schedule, certificates of no arrears, or communication with the customs office.
- Social security and health insurance: Submitting statements of income and expenditure, handling eSick notes, applications for carer's allowance, pension statements, or communication with your insurer.
- Applications, grants and registers: Submitting grant applications, communicating with the land registry (tracking changes), arranging parking permits, communicating with the building authority, and so on.
EXTRACTS AND REGISTERS WITHOUT QUEUES
Thanks to the connection to the state information systems, you can have the following sent directly to your box free of charge:
- Extract from the criminal records register
- Extract from the driver's penalty-point record
- Extract from the land registry or an extract from the Commercial Register (obchodní rejstřík)
- Information on the expiry of documents (ID card, passport, driving licence)
CONSIDERABLE SAVINGS OF TIME AND MONEY
The main advantage is that you do not have to keep to office hours. A submission made at 23:59 on the deadline day is considered on time. You also save on postage, envelopes and printing paper – communication with the state is, as we already know, entirely free of charge. What is more, via a data box you can also communicate with your municipality, for example when dealing with local fees for a dog or waste collection. Simply find the IDDS of the given municipal authority.
